Weather Alerts in Yemen: Cold Conditions and Strong Winds Expected
The Weather Forecast and Early Warning Center of the Yemeni Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority released its daily weather report on Tuesday, highlighting forecasts and warnings for various regions.
Coastal Areas:
The weather is expected to be clear to partly cloudy and mild along the southern and eastern coasts. Strong winds, ranging between 17-27 knots, are anticipated around the Socotra Archipelago, Bab al-Mandab, and the western coasts.
Mountainous Areas:
During the night and early morning, the western mountainous regions will experience very cold to freezing conditions. Cold weather is also expected in Taiz, Lahij, Abyan, and Shabwah, along with the highlands and plateaus of Hadhramaut and Al-Mahra.
Desert and Inland Regions:
In the desert areas, the weather will be mild during the day and cold to relatively cold at night, with moderate winds potentially causing dust and sandstorms.
Sea Conditions:
Arabian Sea and Gulf of Aden: Moderate waves.
Socotra and the Red Sea: Moderate to rough waves, with strong winds.
Fishermen and ship captains, particularly around Socotra, the Arabian Sea, and the Red Sea, are advised to exercise caution due to high waves and strong winds.
