Strengthening Ties: Direct Flights Between Riyan and Cairo to Begin Soon
The Embassy of the Republic of Yemen in the Arab Republic of Egypt has announced great news for Yemeni citizens: Egyptian authorities have approved the operation of direct flights by Yemen Airways between Riyan and Cairo airports. The schedules for these flights will soon be announced by the Civil Aviation Authority and Yemen Airways.
The Embassy emphasized that this milestone will significantly ease travel hardships, especially for citizens in Yemen’s eastern governorates. This achievement is the result of continuous efforts by the Embassy, starting with the Yemen-Egypt Strategic Dialogue held last June under the leadership of the Foreign Ministers of both nations, followed by individual meetings with Egypt’s Minister of Civil Aviation and discussions involving Yemen’s Minister of Transport.
The Embassy extended its sincere gratitude to the relevant authorities in Egypt and Yemen, including the Ministry of Transport, the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology, and Yemen Airways, for their cooperation in making this achievement possible.
