The Israeli army issued an urgent statement on Sunday, calling on Yemeni citizens located near ports under Houthi control to immediately evacuate the area.

According to the statement released by the Israeli military spokesperson, the warning applies to Ras Isa Port, Hodeidah Port, and Al-Salif Port, which the army claims are being used by the Houthis for military operations, making them legitimate military targets.

Israeli media reported that Israeli fighter jets took off this evening to target the three Yemeni ports in response to recent escalations.

The Israeli army has previously launched several airstrikes on Houthi targets in Yemen following the group's ballistic missile and drone attacks on Israeli territory.

The army further stated that the three ports are strategic locations in the region and could be subject to further strikes in the near future.
