Houthi Drone Loaded with Mortar Shells Shot Down Over Northwestern Hajjah
Government air defenses in Yemen intercepted and shot down a Houthi drone on Friday morning over the skies of Abs district in northwestern Hajjah province.
According to the Fifth Military Region’s media office, the drone was flying over military positions in the Bani Hassan area and was loaded with 81mm mortar shells before being downed by the 7th Presidential Guard Brigade.
In recent years, the Yemeni army has reported the interception and destruction of dozens of Houthi drones targeting military and civilian areas across northern and western frontlines.
