Shorouq Ahmed Ali Saved from Execution After Full Blood Money Raised
A major humanitarian victory was announced today as the full amount of blood money—3 million Saudi riyals—was successfully raised in the case of Yemeni girl Shorouq Ahmed Ali, who had been sentenced to death in Saudi Arabia over a manslaughter charge. The payment has led to the cancellation of the execution and the saving of her life after years behind bars.

The execution was scheduled for June 25, 2025, but intense efforts by activists, officials, and members of the Yemeni community in and outside the Kingdom succeeded in collecting the full amount over the past few days.

Human rights advocates and social media activists expressed deep gratitude to everyone who contributed, praising the solidarity shown by Yemenis to save the life of a young woman who stood on the brink of death. They described the campaign as a testament to the power of unity and compassion in times of crisis.
