Yemen Condemns Iran’s Strike on Qatar: “A Brazen Act of Aggression
The Republic of Yemen strongly condemned the Iranian missile attack on Qatari territory on Monday evening, describing it as “a blatant violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and airspace, and a flagrant breach of international law and the UN Charter.”
In an official statement, the Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the attack exemplifies the aggressive and chaotic nature of the Iranian regime, and its persistent attempts to drag the region into turmoil through crisis creation and regional destabilization.
Yemen reaffirmed its full solidarity with Qatar, declaring its readiness to mobilize all available resources to support its Gulf neighbor in defending its security, sovereignty, and stability.
Iran Hits Al-Udeid Base, Qatar Responds
Iran had earlier announced the launch of a military operation called “Bashaer al-Fath” targeting the Al-Udeid U.S. airbase in Qatar, in retaliation for the U.S. airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities.
Qatar confirmed that its air defenses successfully intercepted the missiles and subsequently closed its airspace temporarily—alongside Bahrain, the UAE, Kuwait, and Iraq—as regional tensions escalated.
Doha asserted its full right to respond proportionately in line with international law.
