Yemen Warns: Iran Turning Saada into a Missile Launchpad
The internationally recognized Yemeni government has warned that Iran is relocating parts of its military industry—including missile and drone manufacturing—to Houthi-controlled areas, particularly Saada, Hajjah, and rural Sana’a.
Minister of Information Muammar al-Eryani stated on X that continued international leniency enables Iran to establish a prohibited weapons hub in Yemen, effectively turning it into an advanced missile base for the IRGC and a regional threat.
He emphasized that the missile systems used by the IRGC during the recent 12-day war—ranging from ballistic to hypersonic missiles and kamikaze drones—mirror those used by the Houthis, revealing Tehran’s direct control over Houthi military operations.
Al-Eryani urged the international community to act decisively, warning that the threat extends beyond Yemen to regional stability, global trade routes, and energy supplies.
