Israeli Airstrikes Hit Yemen’s Hodeidah: Ports Targeted After Evacuation Warnings
The Israeli Air Force launched airstrikes early Monday targeting Hodeidah city and its strategic ports—Hodeidah, Salif, and Ras Isa—on Yemen’s western coast, following warnings issued late Sunday by the Israeli military.
According to Israeli army statements, the strikes were launched due to alleged military activities in the ports, including the use of facilities for Houthi operations. The army also ordered the evacuation of Hodeidah's main power plant before the attacks.
Explosions were reportedly heard across different areas of the city. Local sources confirmed damage to infrastructure, while official casualty reports are still pending. The attacks mark a significant escalation in the Red Sea conflict.
