Thousands Rally in Marib as Gaza Enters 653rd Day of Israeli Siege
Thousands of Yemenis gathered in Marib City on Sunday evening to denounce the Israeli blockade on over 2.3 million civilians in Gaza, which has now lasted 653 consecutive days.
Organized by the Popular Committee for Solidarity with Palestine, the demonstration saw over 10,000 participants raising banners condemning the continued military aggression and the humanitarian disaster unfolding in Gaza.
Protesters called on the UN Security Council to fulfill its ethical and humanitarian responsibilities and demanded the immediate lifting of the blockade and unrestricted access to humanitarian aid.
The statement from the event warned that the international community’s silence has emboldened Israeli actions and deepened the suffering of civilians, especially children and women.
