Tel Aviv Threatens Houthis: Major Military Operation Ready, Awaiting Political Green Light
Israel's Channel 14 reported intensive preparations by the Israeli military for a major offensive operation against the Houthi forces in Yemen. According to the report, the plan is fully ready and awaiting only political approval from Tel Aviv's leadership.
A senior official in Israel’s defense establishment stated: “We are building capabilities and will know how to use them when the time comes. What we did to Iran in the first 12 minutes—we can easily repeat against the Houthis in Yemen.”
This comes after Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant declared that “Gaza and Yemen are the two remaining fronts,” adding that Israel is preparing a significant strike against the Houthis to end what he described as "terrorist incidents and launches from Yemen."
Earlier this week, the Israeli army claimed responsibility for airstrikes targeting the Hodeidah Port, which is under Houthi control in western Yemen.
Despite over a dozen Israeli attacks on Yemen in recent months, most strikes have hit civilian infrastructure, with little impact on Houthi leadership or military capabilities.
