Marib Transforms into a National Hub… Al-Ghulaisi: The Province Is No Longer Just Geography, But a Political and Economic Power

Ali Al-Ghulaisi, press secretary to the Presidential Leadership Council member and Governor of Marib, affirmed that Marib has evolved beyond being a mere geographic province and has become an influential national center in politics, economy, media, culture, and sports.

In a series of posts on “X” today, Al-Ghulaisi stated that events and issues related to Marib, even minor ones, attract wide attention due to the exceptional role the province has come to represent. He stressed that everything happening in Marib is now interpreted within a national context that extends beyond its borders.

Despite challenges, Al-Ghulaisi emphasized that Marib continues steadily on a path of reconstruction and development, guided by a clear national vision and powered by the determination of its people. He noted that the province does not claim perfection nor compare itself to others, but works within its available means.

He further highlighted that Marib’s state institutions are functional and law-abiding, a fact acknowledged by visiting government, regional, and international delegations. Constructive criticism, he said, is always welcome as a tool for improvement and development.

Al-Ghulaisi also stressed that Marib values the opinions and stances of all parties under the legitimacy framework and those opposing the Houthi project, describing them as partners in both the liberation and reconstruction process, as well as in the project of restoring the state and ending the rebellion.
