Israeli Airstrikes in Sanaa: Dozens of Houthi Elites Killed in Surprise Attack

According to journalist Fares al-Humairi, citing exclusive sources, Israeli airstrikes on Thursday targeted three residential villas in Sanaa’s Hadda district, killing and injuring around 45 senior Houthi security and military figures.

Details of the strikes:

  • One villa was hosting a meeting of the Houthi government.

  • Another, known as the “al-Madani Villa,” was the site of a gathering of military and security leaders.

  • A third, the “al-Saadi Villa,” was also hit, but the nature of the meeting remains unclear.

Sources revealed that the targeted group was under the direct supervision of Abdulmalik al-Houthi’s office and consisted of specially trained cadres groomed for senior positions in the group’s military, security, and civil institutions. Most of them were killed instantly, while others were left critically injured.

On Monday, the Houthis held funerals for Prime Minister Ahmed Ghalib al-Rahwi and nine other ministers, underscoring that the strike effectively decapitated much of the Houthi administration.
