Iryani: Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi’s Speech Reflects Political Confusion and Alignment with Iran’s Collapsing Agenda
The Minister of Information in the legitimate government, Muammar Al-Iryani, stated that the speech delivered by Houthi leader Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi revealed a state of confusion and tension, as he attempted to intimidate Yemenis and portray his Iran-backed militia as an invincible force.
Al-Iryani emphasized that the speech reflects the Houthi leader’s political isolation and inability to grasp the magnitude of regional transformations, particularly following the collapse of Iran’s expansionist project, which had been supported with vast resources over decades. He noted that the consequences of this collapse will undoubtedly impact Yemen.
Al-Iryani pointed out that Al-Houthi’s threats echo the rhetoric used by Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of Lebanon’s Hezbollah, who similarly sought to intimidate Lebanese citizens and political forces. He questioned the fate of Nasrallah’s once-vaunted “great power” and highlighted its current diminished state.
The minister added that the speech underscores the entrenched extremist and violent mentality promoted by Tehran’s axis, illustrating Al-Houthi’s alignment with Iran’s destabilizing agenda in the region. He affirmed that Yemenis, having endured immense suffering over the past decade, are now more determined than ever to liberate their country from the grip of Houthi fascism, regardless of the sacrifices required.
Al-Iryani concluded by expressing confidence in a victorious future for the Yemeni people. He asserted that Yemen will remain an integral part of the Arab world and will continue to resist oppression and tyranny until freedom and sovereignty are restored.
