WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus Injured in Israeli Airstrike
The World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, suffered from tinnitus following an Israeli airstrike on Sana’a International Airport.
The attack occurred last week as Tedros and his team were preparing to board a plane after concluding humanitarian talks in Yemen’s capital.
Tedros stated on the social media platform X: "I am fine, but I am experiencing tinnitus due to the strong explosion. I hope it is temporary."
The airstrike, which took place last Thursday, targeted the infrastructure of Sana’a International Airport, causing significant damage to the control tower, departure lounge, and runway.
