US Imposes Sanctions on Iranian Money-Laundering Network Funding Missile and Nuclear Programs
The United States announced new sanctions on Friday targeting a vast Iranian money-laundering network, involving 10 individuals and 27 entities accused of funneling billions of dollars to fund Iran’s nuclear and missile programs and support its regional proxies.

The US Treasury Department stated that the network used exchange companies and front firms based in Hong Kong and the UAE to covertly move revenues from oil and petrochemical sales, in direct violation of international sanctions.

These sanctions, issued under Executive Orders 13902 and 13846, are part of the “maximum pressure” campaign, aiming to disrupt Tehran’s shadow banking system that enriches corrupt elites and destabilizes the region.
