Yemeni PM: Women’s Participation in Decision-Making Is a Top Priority
Yemeni Prime Minister Salem Saleh bin Bureik emphasized his government's commitment to integrating women into all national policies and plans during a meeting in the interim capital, Aden, with Dr. Shafiqa Saeed, Chairperson of the National Women’s Committee, and other committee members.

Bin Bureik praised the vital roles Yemeni women continue to play amid current challenges and reaffirmed the government's dedication to increasing female participation in decision-making positions for genuine and effective partnership.

He reviewed a report on the committee’s activities, its ongoing challenges, and the government support needed to achieve its objectives. The meeting also addressed preparations for the upcoming Supreme Council for Women and the need to tackle issues facing women across various governorates.

The gathering is part of broader efforts to empower Yemeni women economically, socially, and politically, and to ensure their active engagement in national development.
