Leak Exposes Houthi Scandal: Defected Commander Reveals Moral Corruption, Blackmail Network and Secret Filming of Officials
A leaked audio recording by former Houthi commander Abdulrabeeq Muawada has revealed shocking allegations of moral and financial corruption inside the Houthi leadership circle. Muawada claimed that senior Houthi figures are involved in a systematic blackmail operation targeting ministers and government officials in Sanaa.

According to Muawada, Mohammed Al-Emad — head of Al-Hawiya TV and a close ally of Houthi leader Abdulmalik Al-Houthi — oversees operations in which officials are lured into hotels with women, secretly filmed, and later blackmailed for political loyalty and financial benefits.

Muawada further stated that key government positions in Houthi-controlled areas are assigned not by qualification, but by allegiance to the leadership, revealing what he described as deep internal decay within the group.

He stressed that the Houthis’ constant use of religious and moral rhetoric is merely a façade to cover a corrupt system built on power, blackmail, and social control.
