Israel Threatens Strong Military Strike Against Houthis in Yemen: "We Will Cut Off Their Leaders' Heads"
Israeli Defense Minister, Yoav Gallant, on Monday evening, threatened to launch a powerful military strike against the Houthi group in Yemen, saying that Israel would target their "strategic infrastructure" and "cut off their leaders' heads." Speaking during a ceremony honoring security personnel in settlements, Gallant addressed the Houthis directly, stating, "We will strike them hard. We will target their infrastructure, and we will cut off their leaders' heads, just as we did with Haniyeh, Senwar, Nasrallah, and in Gaza and Lebanon."
Gallant also highlighted Israel's previous victories, stating that Israel had defeated Hamas, Hezbollah, neutralized Iran's defense systems, and overthrown the Assad regime in Syria. He promised that Israel would continue to target the Houthi group, which still represents an ongoing threat.
The remarks come amid growing tensions between the Houthis and Israel, with increasing missile and drone attacks from Yemen. The Houthis have launched military operations in response to Israel’s ongoing attacks on Gaza, framing their actions as part of a broader campaign of "resistance" in solidarity with Gaza.
Additionally, Gallant acknowledged Israel's responsibility for the assassination of Hamas' former political leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, marking Israel’s first official admission after months of silence on the matter.
