Yemen Citizenship Committee Approves 19 Applications for Citizenship
The Yemen Citizenship Committee, in its regular meeting held on Thursday, approved 19 applications for Yemeni citizenship in accordance with Law No. 6 of 1990.

The meeting, chaired by General Abdulmajid Berik Al-Amiri, Deputy Minister of the Interior for Civil Services, was attended by all committee members in the temporary capital, Aden. Several topics listed in the agenda were discussed, and the committee approved recommendations regarding the citizenship applications, which will be submitted to the Minister of Interior and subsequently to the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council for necessary decisions.

General Al-Amiri emphasized the importance of adhering to the scheduled meetings to review citizenship applicants' files, noting the need to examine documents and prepare the files before the sessions to facilitate procedures and ensure swift processing.

According to observers, most citizenship applications come from foreign nationals married to Yemeni women, reflecting the balance Yemen's laws maintain in regulating citizenship rights while safeguarding national interests.
