"Houthis Claim Attack on U.S. Aircraft Carrier 'Harry S. Truman' in the Red Sea"
The Houthi movement in Yemen announced on Monday that it had launched a military operation targeting the U.S. aircraft carrier "USS Harry S. Truman" along with its accompanying naval units in the Red Sea.

According to the group's military spokesman Yahya Saree, the attack involved ballistic and cruise missiles as well as drones and lasted for nine hours.

Saree claimed that the operation "forced the aircraft carrier to retreat and move northwards from its previous position in the Red Sea." He emphasized that the group would continue to target and pursue "enemy warships in the Red Sea and Arabian Sea until the aggression on Yemen ends."

In a related development, Saree also stated that the Houthi air force carried out an operation targeting a "vital site" in the city of Ashkelon, Israel, using a drone named "Yafa" as part of what he described as support for the Palestinian people.

As of now, there has been no official comment from the U.S. Department of Defense or the Israeli military regarding the Houthis’ claims.
