Trump Congratulates Yemen on 35 Years of Resilience, Reaffirms US Support for Stability
U.S. President Donald Trump sent an official congratulatory message to Yemeni President Rashad Al-Alimi on the occasion of the 35th National Day of the Republic of Yemen. In his message, Trump expressed his eagerness to work together to enhance "goodness and prosperity" between the two friendly countries.

Trump described this day as a "pivotal moment in Yemen's history," praising the resilience and aspirations of the Yemeni people. He reaffirmed the United States' commitment to supporting Yemen in its pursuit of a more stable and prosperous future.

This congratulation comes amid growing bilateral relations between Washington and Sana’a. Previously, President Al-Alimi praised Trump’s support during his previous term, especially regarding the fight against the Iranian-backed Houthi militias.

Notably, Trump signed an executive order last January to reclassify the Houthis as a foreign terrorist organization, a move hailed by the Yemeni government as strong backing for its efforts to restore the state and end the coup.
