Israeli Army Intercepts Houthi Missile Launched from Yemen
The Israeli military announced on Sunday, May 25, 2025, that it had successfully intercepted a ballistic missile launched by the Houthi group from Yemen.

According to military spokesperson Avichay Adraee, “A missile fired from Yemen was intercepted moments ago, triggering sirens in several areas of Israel.” No specific locations or damage details were provided.

Yedioth Ahronoth, a leading Israeli daily, reported that the incident led to the temporary suspension of air traffic at Ben Gurion Airport, before flights resumed shortly after the missile was neutralized.

The Houthis have claimed responsibility for multiple missile and drone attacks against Israel since the Gaza war began, framing their actions as part of a broader campaign to support the Palestinian cause. Analysts suggest the group is using Iranian-made long-range weapons.

As of publication time, the Houthis had not released an official statement regarding the latest launch.
