President Al-Alimi Receives Credentials of Vatican Ambassador and Praises Role in Promoting Peace
President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, Chairman of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council, received today, Wednesday, the credentials of Archbishop Christophe Zakia El-Kassis, the new Ambassador of the Vatican to Yemen, at the Maashiq Presidential Palace in Aden.

During the meeting, the ambassador conveyed greetings from Pope Leo XIV and expressed hopes for peace and stability in Yemen. President Al-Alimi welcomed the ambassador and affirmed full support for his diplomatic mission.

He praised the Vatican’s firm stance on just causes and its global efforts to promote coexistence, tolerance, and interfaith dialogue.

The ceremony was attended by Foreign Minister Dr. Shayea Zindani, Office Director General Salih Al-Maqaleh, and Chief of Protocol Mohammed Hajj Mahfouz.
