Israeli Airstrike Hits Iran's National Security HQ in Tehran — President Bezeşkiyan Injured During Secret Meeting
Iran’s semi-official Fars News Agency reported that President Masoud Bezeşkiyan sustained minor leg injuries during an Israeli airstrike targeting the Supreme National Security Council headquarters in Tehran on June 16, 2025.

According to sources, Israeli drones struck the lower levels of the building in an attempt to block evacuation routes and trap senior officials who were attending a classified high-level meeting. President Bezeşkiyan and his entourage managed to escape through a side exit, though several were injured in the attack.

In a later interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson, Bezeşkiyan hinted that the strike was a coordinated assassination attempt amid a surge in Israeli operations targeting Iranian leaders, nuclear facilities, and military compounds.

The attack marks a serious security breach in the Iranian capital and signals a new phase in the escalating Israel-Iran conflict.
