Yemeni Amir Ghaleb Appointed U.S. Ambassador to Kuwait: Expresses Gratitude and Commitment
yemeni Amir Ghaleb, recently appointed as the U.S. Ambassador to Kuwait, shared the news on his Facebook page, which was later reported by the news site "Manbar Al-Akhbar." In his post, Ghaleb expressed his sincere gratitude to President Donald Trump for placing his trust in him and appointing him to this prestigious role.
"I look forward to representing and serving our great country, the United States, and strengthening the relations between our two friendly nations," Ghaleb wrote.
Among the three options presented to him — Advisor to the President at the White House, Deputy Secretary of State, or Ambassador to a country of his choice — Ghaleb stated that after careful consideration, he selected the third option and chose Kuwait, among several countries available to him.
He extended a special thank you to the people of his beloved city and the vibrant community that has supported him endlessly throughout his journey. "I will remain at your service at all times and from anywhere," he added.
Ghaleb also thanked everyone who supported him along the way from across the United States. He reflected on his previous service in the medical field, where he worked for nearly a decade after completing 12 years of study. Despite his success in medicine, his passion for politics and community work led him to run for mayor. After three years of successful service, he is now transitioning to a new stage in his career.
"I will continue to remain loyal to this community, even if I am far from it for a time," he said, emphasizing his commitment to integrity, dedication, and the support of the people.
Additionally, he expressed his gratitude to Dr. Masad Boulos, the President’s Middle East Advisor, for his ongoing support and efforts in connecting the Arab-American community with the new administration under President Trump.
