Iran Denies Reports of IRGC Casualties in Recent U.S. Airstrikes on Yemen
Iran’s semi-official Tasnim News Agency on Saturday denied claims that members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) were killed during recent U.S. airstrikes in Yemen.

Quoting informed sources, Tasnim reported that statements made by Yemeni officials — particularly Information Minister Moammar al-Eryani — suggesting the death of IRGC members in a U.S. strike on April 2 are "completely unfounded."

On Thursday, Minister al-Eryani had announced that 70 Houthi militants, including senior field commanders and Iranian experts from the IRGC, were killed in a precision U.S. airstrike targeting a Houthi gathering south of Al-Fazah in Yemen’s Al-Hudaydah province.

Tasnim described the claims as part of a "media disinformation campaign" aimed at escalating tensions and dragging the region into a wider conflict. The agency emphasized that Iranian military officials have repeatedly stated the Houthis are fighting the U.S. and Israel independently, with no Iranian forces directly involved on the ground.
