US Airstrikes Target Ras Isa Fuel Port in Hodeidah to Undermine Houthi Funding Sources
The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced earlier today that it had carried out airstrikes targeting the Ras Isa fuel port in Yemen’s western province of Hodeidah. The port is under the control of the Iranian-backed Houthi militia. The strikes are part of broader operations aimed at undermining the group's economic power base, according to an official statement.

CENTCOM stated that the airstrikes are part of ongoing efforts to curb the smuggling of fuel and weapons to the Houthis. The objective, it said, is to reduce the militia’s ability to finance its military operations.

The statement emphasized that the strikes are not intended to harm the Yemeni people. On the contrary, the operations are designed to support Yemenis who are striving to free themselves from what the statement described as "Houthi enslavement." It further noted that the international community will not tolerate the smuggling of fuel and weapons to what it termed "terrorist organizations."

Meanwhile, local residents told Al-Mashhad Al-Yemeni that four US airstrikes targeted the Ras Isa port, while additional strikes hit the Al-Munira district in Hodeidah. Heavy warplane activity was reported in the skies over the region.
