US Deploys Advanced Anti-Radiation Missiles in Intensified Strikes on Houthi Targets in Yemen

The United States has employed advanced guided anti-radiation missiles in its ongoing air campaign targeting Houthi military sites across Yemen, according to a report by military news outlet The War Zone.

Images released by US Central Command (CENTCOM) showed an EA-18G Growler electronic warfare aircraft equipped with four AGM-88E AARGM or older AGM-88 HARM missiles, indicating an aggressive push to neutralize Houthi air defense and radar systems. The footage, published Monday, captured the aircraft taking off from the USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75).

The Growler was also seen carrying two AIM-120 AMRAAM air-to-air missiles and three external fuel tanks, reflecting its dual role in suppression of enemy defenses and potential engagement with aerial threats.

F/A-18E/F Super Hornets were also spotted armed with a diverse array of precision munitions, including AGM-154 JSOW, long-range AGM-84H SLAM-ER cruise missiles, and bunker-busting JDAM bombs, all aimed at degrading the Houthi military infrastructure.

CENTCOM has been conducting airstrikes since mid-March to dismantle the Houthis' offensive capabilities, particularly their drone and missile systems that pose threats to international shipping routes in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.
