Israeli Army: Senior Iranian Intelligence Officials Killed in Massive Airstrikes on Iran
The Israeli army announced on Monday that large-scale airstrikes conducted by the air force on Iranian territory resulted in the killing of the Quds Force commander and several top Iranian intelligence officials. Around 20 sites were targeted, including military and intelligence facilities.

A military spokesperson told Al Jazeera that “50 aircraft participated in yesterday’s attacks on Iranian targets,” noting that the strikes were in response to Iranian missile attacks that killed several civilians in Israel and left dozens injured.

The spokesperson also confirmed that Israeli air defenses intercepted two drones earlier today—one from the east and another from the south of the Golan Heights.

He added that Israel maintains “air superiority over Iranian skies” and that the ongoing operations are part of a comprehensive military strategy aimed at crippling Iran’s nuclear and missile capabilities.

In a separate statement, the Israeli army said that its aircraft carried out a precision strike on a building near Tehran that housed senior Iranian intelligence officials. The strike killed four key figures, including the heads and deputies of both the IRGC and Quds Force intelligence units.

These officials, according to the army, played a central role in planning attacks against Israel and other regional and Western countries.

The army further confirmed that Israeli forces are continuing offensive and defensive operations on multiple fronts, including Gaza, the West Bank, and Yemen, as part of efforts to “eliminate the Iranian threat from all directions.”
