A civilian was killed and more than ten others were injured early Thursday after a Houthi-launched drone targeted a fuel station in Taiz, southwest Yemen.
According to local sources, the drone struck fuel tanks at a station in the Hawdh al-Ashraf area, triggering a massive fire that consumed the entire facility and caused damage to nearby homes.
Emergency teams rushed to the scene and evacuated the injured, despite the raging flames and secondary explosions. The attack left at least 11 casualties, sparking outrage among local residents.
This assault marks yet another Houthi escalation targeting civilian infrastructure in Taiz, a city under siege for over eight years. Activists and rights groups are urging international bodies to intervene and stop ongoing violations against civilians.
