Intense Israeli Airstrikes Rock Sanaa, Targeting Houthi Military Sites and Key Institutions

The Yemeni capital Sanaa was rocked early Wednesday by a series of Israeli airstrikes described as the most intense since the escalation began. According to local sources who spoke to Minbar Al-Akhbar, initial reports confirm 3 people were killed and 6 others injured.

One of the strikes hit the Moral Guidance Directorate in central Sanaa’s Al-Tahrir district, destroying the building and damaging nearby homes. Rescue teams continue searching the rubble for possible victims as panic spread among residents.

Israel’s Channel 14 reported that the Air Force for the first time struck two missile launch sites, the office of the Houthi spokesperson, and a military camp. Reuters also confirmed that the strikes targeted the Ministry of Defense in Sanaa.

According to informed sources, the airstrikes also hit:

  • The Defense Ministry compound

  • The Finance Ministry building

  • The Moral Guidance Directorate

  • The Houthi Military Media Complex

The strikes extended to Amran and Al-Jawf provinces, where Israeli warplanes targeted a Houthi camp in Amran and the government complex in Al-Hazm, Al-Jawf’s capital, along with other undisclosed sites.

Thick plumes of smoke were seen rising over Sanaa, with observers noting that the attack marks a new phase of escalation as it targeted highly sensitive military and governmental sites in the heart of the Yemeni capital.
