Major Intelligence Breakthrough: Houthi Commanders Defect as Yemeni Army Penetrates Militia Security Network
The Yemeni National Army announced a significant intelligence breakthrough inside the security and command structure of the Iran-backed Houthi militia, triggering chaos and distrust among its leadership. Military officials confirmed that key field commanders are preparing to defect in the coming days.

Brig. Gen. Abdo Majalli, spokesperson of the Yemeni Armed Forces, described the operation as a "strategic blow" that disrupted the militia's chain of command and internal coordination. Several Houthi commanders have reportedly joined Yemeni government forces in Marib, the western coast, and the Southern Giants Brigades.

Majalli stated that the intelligence infiltration provided critical data on Houthi leadership, weapons systems, and battlefield tactics—information expected to strengthen upcoming military operations and deliver precise strikes.

He added that escalating defections reflect growing public anger in Houthi-controlled areas due to widespread corruption, abuses, and misappropriation of public funds, calling it the beginning of the militia’s internal collapse and the end of Iran’s project in Yemen.
"What is happening in Yemen? What caused the war? And who ignited it?
