Striking analysis: Al-Jaradi says Iran’s missiles targeted the Gulf more than Israel

Ali Al-Jaradi, head of the Media Department of Yemen’s Islah Party, addressed what he described as a striking contradiction in Iran’s military behavior, noting that Iranian missiles and drones directed at Gulf countries and Jordan may have exceeded those launched toward Israel, according to some reported figures.

Al-Jaradi argued that such conduct cannot be explained merely through political calculations or conventional wartime logic, especially in terms of identifying the main enemy, setting priorities, or avoiding attacks on neighboring Arab states.

He said Iran’s actions reveal more than its slogans, stressing that Tehran’s military behavior exposes a deeper regional agenda rather than a temporary political confrontation. According to him, the scale and direction of Iranian attacks suggest that the issue goes far beyond a passing conflict.

Al-Jaradi also pointed to Iran’s long-standing doctrine of “exporting the revolution,” describing it as an effort to spread political Shiism by force, reshape the identity and culture of Arab societies, and establish armed militias loyal to Tehran inside Arab countries.

The Yemeni political figure recalled previous debates he had with Arab intellectuals several years ago, saying he had warned then that the Iranian role in Syria, Yemen, and other Arab countries represented an existential threat, not merely an internal or isolated crisis.

He concluded by saying that Iran’s increasingly direct attacks on Gulf states have now pushed some of those who once dismissed that threat to reconsider their views.
