U.S. Airstrikes Target Key Sites in Sanaa Amid Rising Military Tensions
Local sources reported that U.S. airstrikes hit the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, late on Monday night, targeting the Ministry of Defense building and Al-Hafa military camp in the Al-Ardi area of central Sanaa.

According to the sources, the strikes coincided with intense warplane activity over the skies of Hodeidah province, triggering panic and concern among local residents amid escalating military tensions in the region.

The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) claimed responsibility for the strikes, confirming that they targeted a Houthi operations coordination center in Sanaa. In a statement, CENTCOM noted that the targeted facility was used to coordinate attacks on U.S. Navy warships and commercial vessels in the southern Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.

The U.S. military emphasized that the strike reflects its continued commitment to protecting American forces, regional partners, and ensuring the safety of international maritime shipping.

Meanwhile, local residents reported hearing powerful explosions that shook large parts of the capital, raising fears of a broader military escalation in the region.
