Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council Condemns Israeli Aggression and Calls on Houthis to Prioritize National Interests
The Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council condemned the latest Israeli aggression on Yemeni territories, holding the Houthi group responsible for the escalation and violations against the Yemeni people. In a meeting chaired by President Rashad Al-Alimi, the council called on the Houthis to prioritize the nation's interests over any other agendas.
According to the state-run Saba news agency, the council, in a separate meeting led by President Al-Alimi and attended by Prime Minister Ahmed Bin Mubarak and Central Bank Governor Ahmed Ghalib Maabqi, discussed economic developments and government efforts to enhance economic stability and address the humanitarian challenges caused by Houthi policies.
The council reviewed reports from the prime minister, the central bank governor, and the economic team on key economic performance indicators. The reports highlighted measures taken to secure essential services and goods while addressing the destructive impact of Houthi activities on Yemen's economy.
The meeting also covered plans to accelerate the implementation of economic recovery initiatives, improve the state’s access to resources, combat corruption, and support the independence of the central bank in managing monetary policies and monitoring the prices of essential goods and services
