The Cave Man of Socotra: A Timeless Icon and a Tourist Magnet
In August 1971, Abdullah Salem Alawi, known as "The Cave Man," graced the cover of Al-Arabi Magazine in issue 153 with a report titled "A Man from Socotra, Like the First Human." Living in a cave on the shores of Dihot in Socotra Island, Alawi symbolized a simple way of life that captivated tourists, turning his cave into a famous destination for visitors from around the world.

Today, more than fifty years later, "The Cave Man" is back in the spotlight with recent photos showing him alongside foreign tourists circulating online. with him and share them on their platforms
