Yemeni and Syrian Foreign Ministers Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Relations
The Yemeni Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Shaea Mohsen Al-Zandani, held a phone call with his Syrian counterpart, Asaad Hassan Al-Shaibani, to extend his congratulations on the latter's assumption of his new duties.
Al-Zandani emphasized the importance of strengthening the fraternal ties between the two countries, reaffirming the Yemeni government’s support for the Syrian transitional government. He also announced Yemen's plans to reopen its embassy in Damascus soon, aiming to enhance bilateral relations and facilitate direct communication.
For his part, the Syrian Foreign Minister expressed his country’s interest in bolstering ties with Yemen, highlighting the importance of advancing these relations to serve the common interests of both peoples.
During the call, the two ministers exchanged views on several issues of mutual concern, stressing the significance of building strategic Arab partnerships to promote security and stability in the region.
