New Military Appointments and Promotions Announced by Yemen's Presidential Leadership Council
The President of Yemen's Presidential Leadership Council and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces issued a series of decisions today, including new appointments and promotions within the military ranks.

According to the official news agency SABA, the decisions included appointing Major General Saleh Mohammed Taimas as Advisor to the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.

Additionally, under Resolution No. (349) of 2024, Brigadier General Mohammed Salimin Awad Batis was appointed Assistant Minister of Defense for Human Resources Affairs and promoted to the rank of Major General.

As part of efforts to strengthen military leadership, Brigadier General Saleh Mohammed Abdulrabbu Al-Juaymlani was appointed Commander of the First Military Region and Commander of the 37th Armored Brigade, with a promotion to the rank of Major General. This was stipulated in Resolution No. (333) of 2024.

Furthermore, Brigadier General Ali Hatim Ahmed Abdullah was appointed Advisor to the Minister of Defense for Training and Educational Institutions, while Brigadier General Yahya Ali Abu Awja was assigned as Advisor to the Minister of Defense under Resolution No. (347) of 2024.

Lastly, Colonel Ali Yahya Al-Adbai was appointed Commander of the 135th Infantry Brigade and promoted to the rank of Brigadier General, as per Resolution No. (334) of 2024.

The second article of these decisions states that they shall come into effect from the date of issuance and will be published in the official gazette and military bulletins.
