Yemeni Army Repels Iranian-Backed Houthi Militia Attacks

he Yemeni National Army announced that it successfully countered hostile fire sources and monitored movements of the Iranian-backed Houthi militia across multiple fronts in the south and west of Marib province.

According to the Armed Forces Media Center, army units responded to these attacks, inflicting heavy losses on the Houthis in both personnel and equipment. Despite the intensified Houthi offensives aimed at advancing in southern and western areas, Yemeni forces effectively thwarted these attempts.

Field sources reported that the army, supported by popular resistance forces, managed to repel several Houthi attacks, resulting in dozens of casualties among the militia's ranks.

This escalation comes amid worsening humanitarian conditions in Marib, which hosts a large number of displaced people fleeing conflict zones. The continued Houthi assaults exacerbate civilian suffering and highlight the urgent need for international intervention to de-escalate the situation and alleviate the humanitarian crisis.

The Yemeni government reiterated the importance of bolstering combat readiness to counter any threats, while urging the international community to condemn the Houthi escalation and classify the militia as a terrorist entity.
