Houthi Leader Killed in a Retaliatory Attack by a Tribesman in Saada
Local sources reported that a senior leader of the Houthi militia was killed by a gunman belonging to one of the tribes in Saada governorate.
According to the sources, the high-ranking Houthi leader, known as "Abu Al-Zahraa," was killed in a heroic operation carried out by a member of Saada, the hometown of Houthi leader Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi.
The incident occurred today, Sunday, in the Majz district. The attacker, a member of the Al-Muqait family, used hand grenades to target a Houthi military vehicle, killing the leader and injuring four other Houthi fighters, all of whom are in critical condition.
Sources confirmed that this operation was an act of retaliation for the killing of one of the attacker’s relatives, Salem Daleem Abdullah Daleem Muqait, who was unjustly killed by the Houthis at a military checkpoint two days ago in the Al-Jamala area.
The Khawlan bin Amer tribes declared their support for the Al-Muqait family, stating that this act represents legitimate retribution in the absence of accountability for Houthi leaders.
The sources also highlighted recent crimes by the Houthi militia, such as the assassination of Sheikh Sadiq Abu Al-Shaar in Sana’a two months ago, with no arrests made. They urged people to take justice into their own hands.
