Marib: Yemen's Beacon of Prosperity and Stability in 2024
The city of Marib, located in northeastern Yemen, has emerged as the most prosperous, developed, and stable city in the country for 2024. This was revealed in a survey conducted by the media organization "Berran."
The survey involved 3,229 participants who were asked to vote for one of five prominent cities: Sana’a, Aden, Marib, Taiz, and Mukalla.
Marib secured an impressive 69.2% of the votes, taking the lead by a significant margin. Sana’a, under Houthi control, came in second with 19.1% of the votes.
The temporary capital, Aden, ranked third with 6.9%, followed by Mukalla at 3.4%. Taiz, which remains under a Houthi siege, trailed behind with just 1.3%.
These results highlight a stark disparity in stability and development among Yemen's cities, with Marib standing out as a beacon of growth and prosperity compared to its counterparts.
