Houthi Massacre in Al-Bayda: Drone Strike and Siege Devastate Family in Hanaka Al-Masoud
Local sources reported that Iran-backed Houthi militias stormed the village of Hanaka Al-Masoud in the Qaifa Rada’a area of Al-Bayda Governorate, central Yemen, following more than a week of siege and relentless bombardment targeting civilians.
According to the sources, the Houthis deployed significant reinforcements from Sana’a, Saada, Amran, and other provinces to overrun the small village, which had been under intense siege and missile strikes for days. Despite limited resources, the villagers resisted with personal weapons, engaging in fierce clashes for four consecutive days.
The sources revealed that the militias positioned snipers on rooftops and mosque minarets to target local residents, who had refused to submit to their authority.
In a horrific escalation, the Houthis used a drone to bomb the home of Sheikh Mohammed Hussein Al-Masoudi, killing his entire family. Reports indicate that other families remain trapped under the rubble caused by continuous airstrikes.
The militias have reportedly resorted to dropping explosive devices on civilian homes using drones, detonating them remotely, further exacerbating the humanitarian crisis.
For over a week, the Houthis have maintained a tight siege on Hanaka Al-Masoud in Al-Bayda’s Al-Qurayshiyah district, launching deadly attacks on civilians with missiles and drones in what many describe as war crimes against the Yemeni people.
