Houthi Court in Sana'a Sentences 131 People in 'Soft War' Case, with Death and Prison Penalties
A specialized criminal court in Sana'a, controlled by the Houthi militias, convicted 131 individuals on Monday in connection with charges related to what the Houthis call the "soft war." The court issued death sentences for 18 convicted individuals, while 113 others received prison sentences ranging from two and a half to 15 years.

The session was chaired by Judge Abdullah Daws, a Houthi loyalist, with the presence of several members of the prosecution. The Houthis claimed that the convicted individuals were involved in immoral activities, including prostitution and the sharing of videos, and that they had rented apartments in Yemen's capital as well as in Riyadh for these purposes.

The militias also stated that the accused formed a network called "Hlewîn Yemen," which promoted prostitution and drug trafficking through social media. They alleged that the group sent young people to Saudi Arabia to engage in immoral activities in exchange for large sums of money.
