Oman Provides New Ramadan Aid and Food Assistance to Yemen’s Al-Mahra Governorate
Oman has continued its generous support for Yemen’s people, who are enduring the ongoing conflict in its tenth year, by sending new assistance. Oman has dispatched 100 trucks of food aid to the Al-Mahra Governorate and announced significant support for the health sector.

This announcement came from the CEO of the Omani Charitable Organization, Badr bin Mohammed Ali Al-Zaabi, during his visit to the Al-Ghayda Fever Hospital in Al-Mahra, which was funded by the United Nations Foundation. Al-Zaabi confirmed that the Omani Charitable Organization would continue to support the health sector in the governorate, aiming to improve healthcare services for the people.

The visit is part of efforts to strengthen cooperation between Oman and Al-Mahra and improve the essential services available to citizens. It also coincides with the delivery of new food assistance to the region, following directives from Oman’s leadership

Badr Kalshat, the Deputy Governor of Al-Mahra for Youth Affairs, stated that under the guidance of the Omani Charitable Organization, over 100 trucks carrying more than 28,000 food baskets had been sent, with each basket sufficient to feed two families for the entire month of Ramadan.

Kalshat expressed that each year, as Ramadan approaches, Oman once again proves to be a true symbol of sincere giving, support, and genuine friendship, without conditions or expectations. He emphasized that Oman’s assistance to Al-Mahra is not the result of a specific crisis or circumstance but rather a long-standing tradition of support that continues year after year.

“These humanitarian convoys are not just food aid; they are messages of love and brotherhood from the leadership and people of Oman,” Kalshat said. He concluded by thanking Oman and its leadership for their ongoing support, stating, "We are deeply grateful to Oman and its wise leadership. This continuous generosity is a model for genuine giving, and it makes a significant difference in the lives of the people of Al-Mahra every year."
