US Airstrikes Target Sana'a and Hodeidah, Causing Civilian Casualties and Extensive Damage
The United States military has carried out new airstrikes on the Yemeni capital Sana’a and the western city of Hodeidah, both under Houthi control, resulting in civilian casualties and significant damage to infrastructure.

According to Houthi media sources, three people were killed in airstrikes carried out by US warplanes on Saturday night in the capital Sana’a. The strikes targeted the northern Nahda district, causing powerful explosions that shook the surrounding areas.

Eyewitnesses reported that the intensity of the explosions shattered windows in nearby houses, while US warplanes were seen flying intensively over the capital at the time.

In Hodeidah province, US warplanes conducted over 13 consecutive airstrikes on various sites throughout the city. The strikes primarily targeted the area around Hodeidah Airport and the naval base in the Al-Kathib region in the north of the province. The airstrikes reportedly destroyed military camps, vehicle launch sites, and shelters used by the Houthis.

The US Central Command announced that it has carried out approximately 300 airstrikes in Yemen since mid-March, while Houthi media reports suggest that the number of US airstrikes has reached around 900, targeting various areas across the country.

These airstrikes are part of an increasing military campaign aimed at countering the Houthi threat to international shipping lanes. Meanwhile, concerns are growing over the worsening humanitarian situation in Yemen as a result of the ongoing conflict.
