Houthi Militia Arrests Deputy Intelligence Chief Over Alleged Leak to U.S. Military
The Iran-backed Houthi militia in Yemen has arrested Major General Abdulqader al-Shami, Deputy Head of the Security and Intelligence Service, on accusations of leaking coordinates to the U.S. military, which allegedly led to deadly airstrikes targeting senior Houthi leaders.

According to reports by Al Hadath TV, the arrest comes amid a series of precise U.S. strikes that have inflicted heavy losses on the Houthi leadership in recent days. Sources claim al-Shami was detained for passing on sensitive location data that contributed to these operations.

The move coincided with the confirmed death of Colonel Abdulnasser Sarhan Mahyoub al-Kamali, a senior officer in the same intelligence service.

The Houthi group has remained silent regarding the scale of losses, but sources suggest the strikes have triggered internal tensions and a clampdown on suspected infiltrators within the ranks.
