US Military Quietly Evacuates Most Aircraft from Al Udeid Base in Qatar Amid Iran Tensions
In a precautionary move reflecting rising regional tensions, the United States has nearly emptied its aircraft presence at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar — one of its largest military installations in the Middle East — according to satellite images and media reports.

Images analyzed by the Associated Press from June 5 to June 19 showed a significant drop in aircraft numbers from around 40 to just three. Withdrawn aircraft include attack jets, C-130 transport planes, surveillance aircraft, and advanced drones.

This strategic repositioning comes amid intensifying confrontation between Israel and Iran, with fears of potential escalation into Gulf territories. Al Udeid lies less than 300 kilometers from Iran’s coastline.

The US Embassy in Doha also issued a security alert to its staff, warning of ongoing regional hostilities.

Al Udeid hosts over 10,000 American troops and houses the forward headquarters of US Air Force operations in the region.

The Pentagon has yet to release any official statement regarding the redeployment or future stationing of the aircraft, though reports suggest relocation to bases further from potential strike zones.
