First Image of Martyred Sheikh Saleh Hantous Released After Houthi Shelling on His Home in Rima

Yemeni political journalist and former advisor to the Minister of Information, Ahmed al-Museybli, has released the first photo of Sheikh Saleh Ahmed Hantous, who was killed by a Houthi militia shelling that targeted his home in al-Salafiyah District, Rima Governorate.

Al-Museybli posted on platform X (formerly Twitter):
“This is the first photo of the martyr Sheikh Saleh Hantous, killed by the tyrant group,” referring to the Houthi militia.
He added: “The Houthis are the Zionists of Yemen and Iran... His only crime was secretly teaching the Qur’an in his home after they banned public education. They destroyed the Qur’an center he used to run before killing him.”

Sheikh Hantous was a prominent religious figure in Rima and dedicated his life to Islamic education. Despite repeated threats, he continued his mission until his tragic death.
The incident has sparked widespread outrage and renewed calls for an international investigation into Houthi violations of religious and human rights.
