Israel Evacuates Diplomats from UAE amid Threats from Iran and Terror Groups Targeting Jews
In a major security development, Israeli media reported Thursday evening that Israel has begun evacuating most of its diplomatic staff from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), citing increased threats from Iran-backed groups targeting Israeli and Jewish individuals.

The Israeli National Security Council (NSC) issued an enhanced travel warning for Israeli citizens residing in or traveling to the UAE, warning of potential attacks during Jewish holidays and on Saturdays.

"We reiterate our travel warning due to increased threats from terrorist organizations such as the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Hamas, Hezbollah, and global jihad elements who are stepping up efforts to harm Israelis abroad," the NSC said in a statement.

Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not yet responded to requests for comment. The UAE Foreign Ministry has also remained silent.

The warnings come amid fears of retaliatory attacks following Israel’s recent military strikes on Iranian targets and growing international pressure over the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

Notably, in March 2025, a UAE court sentenced three individuals to death for murdering a Moldovan-born Israeli rabbi in November 2024 — a rare crime in a country considered among the safest in the region.
