Egypt Slams 'Jerusalem Post' for Publishing Photo of Sisi and Reisi: 'A Threat'
Egypt's state-run television has criticized the Israeli newspaper Jerusalem Post for publishing a photo of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi alongside Iran's late former president, Ibrahim Raisi. The Egyptian outlet called the photo "dangerous" and suggested it could be seen as a "threat," citing its unsettling implications and what it described as "hidden intentions."
The television report highlighted that the publication of this photo—featured alongside coverage of Sisi’s statements on his opposition to the forced displacement of Palestinians—raised suspicions. The Jerusalem Post is described as a voice of Israel in the English language, further fueling doubts about the newspaper’s motives.
In its response, Egypt’s state-run television emphasized that Sisi’s rejection of forced displacement reflects Egypt’s firm stance on the issue. The report argued that media campaigns against Egypt are designed to disrupt the country's stability and damage the Egyptian leadership’s reputation internationally
